We do not have the spirit of the world, but the spirit of God, so we would know what to us by God in mercy is given. This is why we speak words, not by human wisdom, but by the Spirit shown, so we compare spiritual with the spiritual. But a man does not accept what the Spirit of God says, because i's foolishness to him and he can not understand because it only mentally to assess. (1 Cor. 2: 12-14).

Hi Brother, your very correct in that which you said abot Jacob! But also notice; that after he wrestled with that Spirit & would not let go...he was never the same man, as the match letf him part crippled, so he never had full use of his strenth. This I believe fills many of GOD's desire for HIS people! HE does not want us to think that we can just fight with HIM, in order to recieve the blessings that we feel we need. No matter how honourable our intentions, & also, GOD desires that we look to HIM for all our help.
